So great to hear from you Andy. That powerful piece you worked on that weekend still resonates with me. Yes, I'm going to read Saturday night. Hope you can make it!

Hey Ken,

I remember when you read this during our Dangerous Writing course last year. Loved it then and love it even more now. May drive down to SD for the reading on Saturday. You're reading, too, I think?

It was great to see old friends and meet new (like you) at Judy's soiree. Thank you for your kind comments on the Cygnet Theatre reading. It was nervy stuff to read in public for sure. Congrats on your reading as well! Good luck with all your writing and those wonderful kids and choices coming up. Best to you, KZ

So, after I met you at Judy Reeves' last Wednesday, (we were talking about kids and college), I finally made the connection to your story in the SDWInk Anthology. I remembered how amazing and powerful I thought it was when you read at the Cynget( I read, too, but not nearly as memorable). Anyhow, wish I'd realized it at the party so I could have told you in person. Best wishes for the novel; I'll be interested to read it when it's published.

This is one of my favorite places on the planet. I'm so glad you recall this spot and we can revisit that memory with this picture. Maria is still there along with many of the regulars. The pebbled beach and water is still spectacular. Enjoy.

Thank you Jean. I don't think I ever really leave behind images like this. I carry them with me everywhere inside. I'm so glad you enjoyed them.

Thanks Shea. They actually have donkeys around later in the day for those who don't want to trek back up in the heat. (I walked it anyway). It's a long but spectacular climb both ways.
